The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features found in its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from medium-pile carpets. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the base of charging. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to give you the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the setup process. Once the system is in place you can begin the automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can choose a general clean that prioritizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your area to ensure your entire home gets a proper look.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and also suck large items up. It doesn't lose suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It has a difficult time with carpets that are high-pile or plush, but iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted D-shaped design, which will allow it to hug walls and furniture. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are widely used, but we found it only marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration that blocks microscopic particles and allergens recirculating in your home. We like the claim, but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to store the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles like staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundary markers so that the robot can determine which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on more expensive models. Its mopping system is superior - its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than the vibrating pads.

The only downside is that it lacks a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but it's a small price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's dust tank also bigger than those on many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

As for the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. The two lowest mopping settings, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or even watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac has multiple functions and automatically transfers garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, for example, the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a full dust bin.

You can also combine or create actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. This feature is helpful when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can even vacuum up wet spills however I would recommend drying them using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum with all the features you could want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum with powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, plus the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also comes with self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS the X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is due to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you're not at top robot vacuum home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature that allows you to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a set path.

The X2 Omni is the top robot at mopping. Its mop pads that rotate scrub away tough stains, and its motor creates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent as well and it enhances suction when it detects carpet to ensure it's doing an excellent job. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that comes with a variety of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types, and it's one of the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are great, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall, with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find one button that basically serves as the on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons open the app's settings where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your house. This allows the robot to vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops also do a great job in removing 98.4% debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as effective in removing sand from the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
